We’re pleased to announce the promotion of Sabrina Scotson who will be PMD’s latest Business Development Director.
It’s with great pride that we announce yet another promotion within PMD Business Finance. Hard work doesn’t go unnoticed, and that’s why we’re promoting Sabrina Scotson to Business Development Director.
Here’s some questions we asked Sabrina about her time at PMD:
When did you join PMD and how has your career progressed?
I joined PMD as sales support in 2019 after being in the same role at another company. Straight away, I knew that I wanted to progress within the business but at the time was unsure which route I wanted to go down and how I saw my career shaping. I took the plunge to start my sales career 18 months ago as Relationship Manager. I spent time growing my client base, as well as my knowledge and skill set which led to me being promoted to my new role of Business Development Director.
What do you enjoy about working for PMD?
The Team. There are so many different people from different backgrounds and together it just works (and certainly makes every day interesting). There is so much shared knowledge – there’s always someone to help you when you need it. Not only that, but I’m constantly learning and not one day goes past where I haven’t managed to learn something new or see something differently. We get so many different opportunities at PMD. Whether it’s a change of direction on the career path or learning new things. I’m constantly meeting new people/networking, socialising with the team and being able to support charities that inspire us.
What excites you about your new role?
I’m excited to get stuck into growing my client base to help even more businesses and hopefully become a successful Business Development Director. Knowing the difference that you can make to a business drives me to help even more. In my new role I feel like I have my own arm of the business and have more of an impact. I’m looking forward to showing what I can do.
How do you feel you can impact the business in the future?
Since joining, I’ve been passionate about helping to transform, change, and grow the business. I remember bombarding Jonny when I started with all these ideas I had of ways I could help. I love to support people and having the knowledge/skills to be able to help my teammates on their deals and help their customers helps the business. I’m confident that the next set of new sales recruits will also benefit from this, helping to shape their career too.
How has the business changed since you first started?
The business has massively changed since I first started. Not only have we grown in the number of staff, but we’ve grown in clients and transactions too. The whole operations have changed whilst I’ve been here. The business is continuously evolving to provide our customers with the best service and experience possible.
What has been your proudest achievement for the company?
I have achieved so much since joining the business only 3 years ago. From helping implement and change processes in the operation of the business, to managing the Coronavirus Business interruption scheme applications – I’ve been able to grow my knowledge and shape/open the door on my sales career. I’ve achieved all of this whilst identifying and supporting one of the largest transactions we have done at PMD.
We’d like to wish Sabrina Scotson a huge congratulations and the best of luck within your new role.
